Carnegie's Maid by Marie Benedict
Loved it!! A well-written historical fiction that kept my interest from beginning to end! The story takes place in the American Civil War time frame and contains a lot of information about the rise of industry and immigrant poverty.... it gave my brain a lot to ponder and a great story with an unlikely female protagonist woven throughout. I am already searching for more by this author!
